🏀 Multi-Sport Session 🏀
Fri 28 Oct 2022This week some of our KS2 children got the opportunity to play soccer, netball and basketball in the Ballymote Centre. This was made all the better as we got to play alongside the children from Sacred Heart Primary School, Dundrum.
They were separated into 3 teams and spent 15 minutes playing each sport before having a quick break and moving on to the next game.
This was a fantastic chance for the children to play, exercise and make new friends.

🙌 PTFA Appreciation Post 🙌
Thu 27 Oct 2022Thank you to the PTFA who amongst many other things have organised our fortnightly tuckshops, 50p Friday, Halloween Event, Bun Sales and who work alongside school leadership to apply for grants to improve school resources.
School staff and pupils are very appreciative of their continuous efforts and are already looking forward to planned Christmas activities!

Sun 23 Oct 2022As part of our Maths Week Ireland celebrations, each teacher chose a hard-working pupil from their class to receive a special Maths Award, in recognition of their focus and effort throughout the week. Mr Clifford, our Numeracy Coordinator, presented each of the winners with a Maths Award Certificate and a Homework Pass on Friday Afternoon. Well done to all!

Sun 23 Oct 2022A huge congratulations to Emily from our Primary 7 class, who was recently selected to be part of the Northern Ireland Taekwondo Team. Today, Emily took part in her first competition with her team and achieved two 3rd place medals! This amazing achievement is a testament to Emily’s talents and dedication to her extra-curricular endeavours. Everyone at St. Colmcille’s PS is very proud of her!

Sun 23 Oct 2022This week, St Colmcille's PS celebrated Maths Week Ireland, enjoying a wide variety of lessons and activities that focused on themes with our Numeracy Topic strands, as well as providing opportunities for the pupils to further their Mathematical learning outside of the classroom in the many different outdoor learning areas that are situated on our school grounds. In our Friday Assembly, our pupils learned more about the importance of developing our maths skills to use in everyday life, including; managing our money and making financial decisions, sports and exercise, managing our time, cooking and preparing food, working out distances and times for travel, driving and shopping. Everybody had a great time participating in Maths Week 2022.
