  • 🌳🚌😊 Primary 7 Residential 2023 🌳🚌😊

    Sun 28 May 2023

Many of our P7 pupils spent two days this week in Carlingford, County Louth on their ‘Leavers’ Residential’.

It was action-packed from the outset! After arriving in Carlingford town early on Wednesday morning, they made their way to Carlingford Adventure Centre, their base for the next two days. Here, they got introduced to the team of instructors, as well as their itinerary for the next couple of days. On the first day, our groups took part in kayaking across the Carlingford lough, played laser tag in Slieve Foye Forest and scaled the heights on the high ropes. After their dinner, the group gathered as a group to take part in a spot of dusk crab fishing- definitely getting into the Carlingford spirit! They finished off their evening with a residential party and some nice treats from the sweet shop and local Chinese takeaway!

On day two, the group got straight to action after a hearty breakfast, with more laser tag adventures and scaling the heights on the high ropes, as well as a countryside walk to take in the beautiful scenery. After enjoying their lunch at the amazing Skypark, they spent the afternoon taking part in a series of ‘Crystal Maze’ challenges and activities.

From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience for all of the group and memories they will cherish for many years to come!

They have been practising hard in PE and have shown great improvement with their skills. There were a number of very close games and a narrow loss to the eventual finalists and winners.
