  • 🎃🎉 Spooktacular Halloween Celebration Success 🎃🎉

    Mon 30 Oct 2023

On Friday we all enjoyed celebrating the beginning of the Mid-Term Break with our Spooktacular Halloween Celebration. Pupils in every class were showcasing their creative and spooky Halloween costumes, engaging in Halloween-themed art & craft activities, watching movies in class and enjoying a fantastic disco and tuck shop! Many of our staff enjoyed joining in the Halloween spirit with some excellent costumes. Mrs Dagen won best dressed among the teachers, with her witches' costume, while Mrs Manley was the winner among the classroom assistants, with her storm cloud costume! Thank you to all school staff for their help in making this day such a success and thank you to our fantastic PTFA for all their hard work in decorating school and providing a tuck shop full of tasty treats for all the pupils to enjoy.

  • 🧶Textiles Workshops 🧶

    Sun 29 Oct 2023

Our very own Mrs. Elliott organised two fantastic textiles workshops for the P5/6 and P6 pupils. The children have been learning all about fabrics and materials as part of their Textiles World Around Us topic. The P6 pupils were tasked with making a pillowcase using a length of wool and stitching the wool together using a braiding technique. The children found this very challenging but enjoyable and showed some real perseverance. The P5/6 pupils used the same technique but instead made some excellent pumpkins.

A great experience for the children to try their hand at something new, check out the photos to see the finished product!

  • 🍴🥪Healthy Living Workshop🍴🥪

    Sun 29 Oct 2023

Primary 4 had a very special visit from representatives of our local  Finnebrogue on Wednesday. This was part of their World Around Us topic 'Healthy Lifestyles.'  They talked to P4  about their products, how they make them healthier, where the products come from and how to store and cook them properly. P4 were even given some delicious sandwiches to sample and got to take some tasty treats home as well!

Thank you to Finnebrogue for coming to visit P4 and sharing your knowledge and expertise with us!
