Special Events

The pupils were very busy working on how we can look after and protect our planet for Earth Day. The pupils used Minecraft to design a boat to remove all the plastics from our sea, used Quiver to explore the world in augmented reality and look at the different hazards that affect and damage our planet.

This week was a busy week in the lead up to Easter. We had lots of different art activities, Easter hunt as well as having a range of animals and insects coming into the school for the pupils to see and hold. There was an also a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

Today was a great day working with LSC4. The day was filled with cooking, art and dancing. Happy St Patrick Day!

Celebrating World Book Day with live lessons and quizzes as well as designing our own book and looking at our favourite characters.

The pupils really enjoyed getting to choose a range of toppings for their pancakes.

Celebrating Childrenโ€™s Mental Health through mindfulness activities and taking part in show and tell to take about something we are proud of.

Creating our posters to explain the importance of how to stay safe online for Internet Safety Day.

For National Story Telling week the Armagh Rhymers came into the school to take the pupils through story telling using music and dance. Some pupils even had the chance to get up and take part in some of the dancing.

Today we had a very special workshop with an author called Charlie Graham. He was talking about his new book โ€˜Missing Monkeysโ€™. He read the book to the class and talked through how he came up with the ideas for different parts of the book. The class enjoyed this workshop and got a photo with Charlie and his book.

Celebrating Halloween through lots of art activities and dressing up for our spooky disco.

Parenting Week artwork. The pupils had a great time talking about the important people in their lives before making artwork as a thank you for everything they do.

On Wednesday 13th September we celebrated Roald Dahl day in school. In class we created artwork linked to the story โ€˜The Witchesโ€™ and on Minecraft we redesigned the factory from โ€˜Charlie and the Chocolate Factoryโ€™. The artwork and factories were brilliant and the pupils had a great time with each activity.

LSC3 and LSC4 attended Delamont as part of their Thursday trip. Itโ€™s fair to say that all the pupils had a great time.
