🐣 Easter Fun Day 🐣

Before finishing school for Easter break, we were very lucky to have an Easter Fun Day! We took part in some great Easter activities, including a problem solving Easter Egg hunt. We made some bubble wrap art in an Easter art workshop. The farm came to visit and we saw some amazing animals, some bunnies, some chicks, a talking parrot and even a snake 🐍 We also had a visit from the Easter bunny, who very kindly gave us all an Easter egg! What an ‘Eggcellent’ day ☺️

☘️ St. Patrick’s Day ☘️

We had lots of fun celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. All week Miss Kelly had been teaching us a new song called Molly Malone, we practised really hard and loved singing it. On ‘Green Day’ We took part in some fun practical activities including making rainbows with pegs, puzzles and making our very own rainbows 🌈 with pots of gold using our handprints. We also had a disco 💃🕺 as well as a special treat from our PTFA for 50p Friday 🍩😋 We even had some Irish dancing from Miss Corrigan!

💞❣️ Valentine’s Day ❣️💞

P1 had great fun celebrating Valentine’s Day, we took part in some lovely activities, visited the tuck shop and even had a Valentine’s Day disco 💃🕺

💯🎉 100 Days of School 🎉💯

We had lots of fun celebrating 100 days in school, we took part in lots of activities to mark the occasion and couldn’t believe we had already been in P1 for so long!

💕💜 Grandparents Week 💜💕

We had great fun celebrating Grandparents week. Showing those we love how thankful we are to them, through making a poster, welcoming them to our school and enjoying a special treat together 🧁

🎄🎅 Christmas Panto Trip 🎄🎅

P1 had a very fun trip to see ‘Little Miss Muffet’ at The Down Arts Centre. It was a great trip, the boys and girls loved the show and also the special Christmas treat bag that was provided by the PTFA! Thank you 🥰

💞 Anti-Bullying Week 💞

This week the children learned all Anti- Bullying week, the importance of being kind and how we must speak out when it comes to bullying!

👻🎃 Halloween 👻🎃

We had great fun celebrating Halloween. We took part in lots of fun Halloween activities and finished the week with a SPOOKTACULAR event!

💐 Parenting Week 💐

This week we celebrated Parenting week. The children made thank you cards to thank their parents, guardians and loved ones for looking after them 🥰

🍫🍭 Tuck shop 🍫🍭

The boys and girls in Primary One love visiting our school tuck shop and getting some tasty treats, organised and ran by our amazing PTFA 😊

🌟 National Poetry Day 🌟

We celebrated National Poetry Day. This years theme was refuge and the boys and girls learned what this meant and how this was important to us. We discussed the importance of safe places through the poem we read. The children then drew pictures of the places that made them feel the most safe 🥰
