P4A have been taking part in some fun outdoor learning to develop their recall of dividing by 2!

P4A have been taking part In a range of practical learning activities to develop their recall of halves within 50! Having a good recall of maths facts will help P4A become more confident using a range of mental maths strategies!

P4A have been taking part in lots of practical activities to develop their recall of doubles within 50!

P4A have been making symmetrical patterns and sorting shapes based on their lines of symmetry and their knowledge of their properties.

P4A have been learning all about right angles! They found lots of them around our school grounds!

P4A put their learning about direction into practice by coding Sphero Indi's on our Snakes and Ladders mat! They made them turn left/right, clockwise/ anti-clockwise and practiced making turns using their knowledge of right angles!

P4A have been having fun making Tangrams this week with their learning partners!

P4A have been taking part in practical learning opportunities to round 2 and 3 digit numbers to the nearest 10.

P4 have been using Izak 9 to identify and continue number patterns!

P4A have been learning how to represent and partition numbers using their place value knowledge!

P4 worked in teams to see if they could work out the area of a variety of classroom items using cubes and counters!

P4A have been working in groups to problem solve by identifying the number pattern!

P4A had lots of fun learning to measure capacity in mililitres and litres this week through practical learning activities!

P4A took part in lots of practical learning activities this week to order consecutive and non-consecutive numbers!

P4A had great fun this week estimating and recording the weight of a variety of objects using the language greater than and less than to the nearest kg.

P4A have been working on numbers up to 1000! We have practiced counting on and back and saying the numbers before, after and in-between. We have also matched the written words to the numbers.

P4A have been measuring lenght using meters this week. We have used the language of greater than or less than to help us estimate before we measure!
