Well done and congratulations to teachers and assistants who have successfully completed specialised dyslexia training in the Toe-by-Toe programme. Toe by Toe is a highly structured and multi-sensory programme that has proven to be majorly effective in supporting children with reading/spelling difficulties.

  • โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒˆ Steps to Well-being โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒˆ

    Wed 24 Mar 2021

ย 50 of our staff recently signed up to participate in a two week 75,000 Step Challenge. This challenge was organised to promote the Mental/ Physical Health & Well-being of Staff. It is highly important at this time that our staff look after their own Mental & Physical and Health Wellbeing- so that they are able to assist our much valued pupils with theirs!

The challenge was a big success with 5,170,000 steps completed by staff. This equates to approx 2585 miles in a two week period (over 8 times the length of Ireland).

    ย

The winner of the challenge was Mrs Rosaleen Cunliffe with over 359,000 completed. 2nd place was Mr Brian Tweedie with 355,000 steps and 3rd place was Mrs Emer Cassidy with 300,000 steps. Thanks to Mrs Rebecca Dean for organising free fitness classes for our staff during this time to help them engage with the challenge & for collating the steps totals.

    ย

All challenge participants were entered into a staff draw for ยฃ100 as extra motivation, the winner was Miss Denise Sinclair. Well done to all staff & everyone who upped their activity levels at all during the challenge!
