  • Welcome Garden

    Fri 12 Feb 2021

As part of our work on enhancing the school grounds, we are constructing a Welcome Garden at the front of the school.

The Garden is under construction at present and when completed will include:

Raised flowerbeds that the children will plant out and maintain
Seating for parents to wait on their children
New signage which will be welcoming and informative to visitors to the school site
    Stone/gravel paths
    Bird tables and bird baths
    Trees, plants and shrubs
    Water fountain
Circular stone flower bed (centre piece/focal point)

It will be completed in April 21 when it will be possible for the summer planting to take place. I am sure you will agree it will be a nice addition to our school premises and compliment our new Outdoor Classroom/Sensory Garden and Playpark.

Huge thanks to our parent, Mr Fergus Rooney of Art of Stone,  who is giving freely of his time, labour and talents to create a bespoke stone centre piece for our garden, to another parent Mr Lawrence Blaney who is also giving freely of his time, labour and woodwork talents to create a bird table and to our grandparent Mr Stephen Vaughan, who has freely given his time, woodwork skills and outdoor talents to build and install the raised flowerbeds and create paths which will traverse the garden. These features will be a lovely addition to the garden! We look forward to completing all of our outdoor work in the near future!
