    Well done to the boys and girls for winning 'Pupils of the Month' for October.  The children are proudly wearing their 'Ditch the Dark Day' clothes as part of our Sustrans initiative.  Well done everyone!

  • PTA Halloween Hamper Winners!

    Well done to Thomas and Chloe for winning the two main prizes in the PTA Halloween hamper raffle. The PTA would like to inform you that they raised £827.30 from the Halloween Disco and from selling raffle tickets for the hampers. We truly appreciate all that the PTA do for the children in our school. All of this money raised will go directly back to the children through resources, trips and activities.

  • Nurture Class Visit to Newcastle!

    The children from Miss Devlin's Nurture Class visited the Four Seasons Pet Store in Newcastle to take delivery of their new addition.  The children really enjoyed this experience and we are looking forward to hearing what the goldfish has been called.

  • P6, P7 and LSC3 Felting Art Workshop

    The children in P6, P7 and LSC3 really enjoyed their Art Workshop with Jennifer today.  The focus was on felting.  The children explore the themes they are studying in the 'World Around Us' of India, The Titanic and Healthy Eating.

  • Numeracy Development Lessons

    The classes have been working hard on all curricular areas since September. One of the main areas for improvement in Numeracy is 'Problem Solving and Reasoning'.  We have organised staff training, parental workshops and structured Mathletics activities to tackle this area.  Below are some photographs of the Primary 6 children taking on the '3 square challenge'.  I'm glad to report that the children used their Numeracy strategies to overcome this problem.
