    Fri 23 Jun 2023

After the success of Sports Day, we celebrated the efforts of those individuals who pushed themselves that little bit harder and embodied the spirit of what the day was all about by showing tremendous character in the events. Each teacher elected a member from their class who they felt set a very high standard and acted as role model for their peers. They were each presented with a certificate and a prize by Mr Lyttle and Miss Deegan. Well done girls and boys!

    Sat 17 Jun 2023

On Wednesday, we were delighted to welcom e Sacred Heart Primary School, Dundrum to Ballymote Sports & Well-being Centre, for a fun-filled netball tournament. In each of the games, the girls showed great endeavour, decision making and teamwork. There were some excellent goals scored from both sides! The girls had a brilliant afternoon and enjoyed making new friends. A special thanks to Miss Crozier, from Sacred Heart PS, for being a fantastic referee and the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council  centre staff, for helping us set up for the tournament.

The KS2 Netballers have been working hard each week developing their ball handling, fitness and teamwork skills. • 🟡💛 Cystic Fibrosis – Wear Yellow Day 🟡💛

    Sat 17 Jun 2023

We had a fantastic day celebrating Wear Yellow Day on Friday.  Staff and pupils came to school wearing yellow to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis and fundraise for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, who support the children and adults in our community who are living with Cystic Fibrosis. Primary 1 took part in a short sponsored walk and were rewarded with a Polly Pineapple ice lolly for their hard work. We are still awaiting a final total with contributions still coming in, our total amount raised will be announced in our monthly newsletter. Please note you can still donate via the School Shop on SchoolMoney. Thank you to all those who have already donated and supported our pupils’ fundraising efforts, especially our Primary 1 pupils who learnt a lot about Cystic Fibrosis and how we can support our friends who live with CF each day.
