๐๐ฏ Primary 7 Service of Light ๐๐ฏ
Sun 23 Apr 2023Our Primary 7 pupils, who are preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation, attended their Service of Light in St. Colmcille’s Church on Tuesday 18th April. The P7 pupils were fantastic throughout the service, keeping a very reverent and respectful atmosphere, as the candle representing the Light of Christ was passed to them from their parents and guardians. Thank you to Father Toland for celebrating the Service of Light with us and to all our school staff who attended. The Sacrament of Confirmation will take place in St. Patrick’s Church next Thursday 27th April. St. Colmcille’s pray for our P7 pupils. Downpatrick Parish

๐ Downpatrick Autism Family Support Group Donation ๐
Sat 22 Apr 2023Earlier this month, St. Colmcille’s PS celebrated World Autism Acceptance Week. Our pupils enjoyed coming to school dressed in their own outfits or costumes that make them feel confident and comfortable and participated in a special assembly and activities throughout the day to learn more about Autism. We were delighted to present Maria McGeown, of Downpatrick Autism Family Support Group, with a cheque for £200 on behalf of the pupils, families and staff of St. Colmcille’s Primary School. Thank you to our entire school community for their very generous donations towards this worthwhile cause.
