After being welcomed by Mr Maguire (Principal) and Mr Sharvin (Vice-Principal), the boys had the opportunity to meet Primary 7 pupils from other schools and take part in exciting lessons including PE, Home Economics, Technology and Art & Design. P6/7 had the opportunity to step back in time this week and experience what life was like for children in the Victorian Era, during a trip to Ulster Folk Museum. P6/7 experienced a typical late-1800s school lesson, as well as exploring Victorian-era homes and had the opportunity to visit Victorian-era businesses. The pupils enjoyed some homemade soda bread made on a peat fire and of course, before leaving, they visited the confectioner to buy some old-fashioned sweets.

  • ⭐️💼 Business Beginnings 💼⭐️

    Sat 14 Jan 2023

To begin their ‘Business Beginnings’ project, Primary 7 took part in an online workshop today, hosted by Young Enterprise Northern Ireland

In the workshop, pupils explored famous logos, slogans and entrepreneurs, recognising what made them successful and the common themes of successful business.

Primary 7 then had a go at creating their own animal-themed business logo, through using a range of classroom items. They created an octopus with the slogan, ‘Many hands make light work’ and a crab, for a ‘fun and energetic’ business.

The workshop was a great way to begin the creation of our own business venture, through the Business Beginnings programme.
