To mark the UN COP26 Climate Change Conference taking place in Glasgow this month, we have planted a native Crab Apple tree in our Welcome Garden. This tree was planted by pupils from P7B, with Mr Lyttle (Outdoor Education Team) and was donated to our school by the Trees for Schools Programme. Planting native trees helps to reduce atmospheric CO2 and is an important step in tackling climate change, as well providing habitats and food for birds and other animals.
