Celebrating Halloween in LSC1: The children enjoyed creating some fantastic crafts this week in the theme of Halloween. The children made split pin Halloween characters, used cotton wool to paint pumpkins, carved pumpkins and blew bubbles to make Witchβs cauldrons ππ»
Autumn colours: The children have been learning about our colours this month; in particular our autumn colours. We have looked at our colours using leaves, Lego, chalk paints to recognise our colours.π
In WAU we have been exploring the topic All about me. We have made 2d versions of ourselves, chosen our favourite foods and recorded these on a table and made sensory soup and tea when learning about our senses.ππ
Pattern formation: This month we have been working very hard on building pattern formation using different skills such as pinching, squeezing, tearing, rolling etc. These pre writing skills will support child within their writing throughout the year. πβοΈ
Building new structures and routines: This week we were working on lining up and transitioning from Outdoor areas back into class. We also introduced play sessions in the afternoon where children had to choose their play stations and use a timer before moving onto the next area of choice.
