P4A have been learning about The Artic Circle and Antarctica as part of their new topic, βPolar Regions and Animals!β They identified the polar region on a globe, locating the South and North Pole. They then worked collaboratively to create a map to show the polar regions using tissue paper!

Youβre invited to Our Birthday Party! P4A used Adobe Express to develop their digital designs skills by creating birthday party invites!
P4A went on a scavenger hunt around the school searching for flags belonging to different countries! They then had to match the flag to the country and their traditional celebration!
Our new topic is βCelebrations!β To introduce our new topic P4A had to match celebrations around the world to the right country on a map!
P4A have been making posters to advertise Paris tourist attractions using Adobe Express on iPads!
P4A learned all about French Artist Monet and recreated his famous painting βWater Lilies!β
P4A had to use a range of skills and knowledge to become fashion designers this week! They had to put their imagination and creativity to the test, as well as use planning and problem solving skills to design and create outfits for their paper dolls! They also had to apply lots of math skills to measure out and cut fabric! Lots of fun was had by all! Some future designers in the making!
P4A have been learning about fashion in Paris and are going to become fashion designers this week! To help them gather ideas they created mood boards using PicCollage of their favourite styles and inspiration from Google!
Inspired by French artist Matisse P4A had a go at recreating his famous creation, 'The Snail.'
P4A learnt about how Norte-Dame De Paris was badly damaged in a fire and used their problem solving and creative thinking skills to see if they could help rebuild it using Minecraft!
P4A have been learning about the problems pollution in the Seine river caused for the French government in the run up to the Olympics. We decided to conduct our own experiment to investigate if we could clean some dirty water!
P4A worked with learning partners to research facts using key words on Google to learn about the pollution problem in the Seine river before the Olympics and what the French government did to try and resolve it!
P4A took part in a STEAM challenge to build a replica of the Eiffel Tower using marshmallows and spaghetti! It was a tricky task but they persevered and used great team working skills to problem solve!
P4A had great fun finding a friend with a matching name by asking, 'Comment t'appelles-tu?' and replying using, 'Je m'appelle....' They also enjoyed a visit from Madame Manley and Mademoiselle Feenan!
P4A are super excited to begin their new WAU topic, Paris and the Olympics! In our outdoor classroom today we talked about the things we already know, what we would like to find out and how we would like to learn about our new topic!
