To start our new topic - Winter Wonderland, we explored all about the North Pole and then had to create a landmark that the pupils felt was suitable to represent it.
To finish our topic of Fairytales, each pupil planned and designed their own fairytale story. They designed characters, setting and a story plot. They then made this into an animation to show off their very creative ideas.
We used GarageBand to look at how we can use a range of instruments to compose a song related to fairytales.
Today was our first Irish lesson with LSC4. The pupils enjoyed the introduction lesson and look forward to expanding their Irish vocabulary in future lessons.
Coding was the focus of our ICT and World Around Us lesson today. We used Scratch to understand block coding. We had to select two characters and make them interact with each other using different coding blocks. This is the first lesson which will lead pupils to creating their own Fairytale scene using coding.
We have started working on our new topic - Fairytale. Today pupils were given a basic description of a fairytale setting and they had to use their imagination to create it using Minecraft. When building the setting the pupils had to add more creativity into the setting. See the finished Fairytale settings below.
