P.E
P6/7 have been enjoying taking part in Basketball lessons, developing in their individual skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. They have also developed their understanding of the importance teamwork by learning how to support each other on the court both on and off the ball.
P6/7 will boost their fitness and strength in fun ways by taking part in weekly athletics lessons for the next few weeks in the Ballymote Centre. The boys and girls will have their balance, speed and strength tested and will see each of these skills boosted over time.
Over the next few weeks, P6/7 will be developing their skills in Tennis. We have started by focusing on the importance of balance and coordination while holding a racket, as well as correct grip techniques for the racket. We will continue by exploring ball control while balancing and bouncing with the ball on the racket. The progress has been excellent already and pupils are excited to continue a new sport!
