🍿 Christmas Cinema Trip 🍿

We had a special treat from the PTFA on our last day before the Christmas holidays. We went to the cinema to see Moana 2! They even made us goodie bags to bring with us. We are so lucky to have a wonderful PTFA who organise these special treats for us! Thank you PTFA!

🎅 Santa Comes to St Colmcille’s 🤶

We had a very special visitor to school on Tuesday! Santa took time out of his busy schedule to pop in and see us before Christmas. We told him how we’ve been so good this year and that we've been working very hard in school! He told us we are all on the nice list! yay!!

🎅 Santa Run 🎅

We took part in a Santa Run on our daily mile track wearing Christmas jumpers on Friday 6th December as part of a fundraising even for Trocaire. Trocaire’s Christmas campaign this year focuses on helping people affected by the humanitarian crisis currently happening in Palestine.

Our school raised around £1500 from this event which will be given to Trocaire in the coming days to help support their efforts in Gaza.

🧦 Odd Sock Day 2024 🧦

On Tuesday 12th November we celebrated Odd Sock Day to highlight how each of us are unique. We learned how we should celebrate difference and appreciate each others skills and talents.

🎃 Digital Art: Halloween theme 🎃

Using the Brushes Redux app we made Halloween themed pictures. We think you’ll agree they are spooktacular!

We had a spooktacular time at the Halloween Disco! Check out our fabulous costumes!

👻 Halloween Art 🎃

We made some spooky pieces of art this week! We made a bubbling cauldron with puffy paint, a tissue paper hat or pumpkin and some colourful chalk firework pictures.

⚡️ Maths Week Ireland ⚡️

This week we celebrated Maths Week.
We did a lot of fun activities on our topic addition and ordinal number.

We added 3 numbers in our witches cauldrons, ran races to find who came 1st-20th, ordered animals and played exciting ICT games.

🍩 50p Friday 🍩

We had a wonderful 50p Friday treat this week, we had yummy donuts! Big thanks to the PTFA for their hard work and getting us the delicious donuts!

European Day of Languages

We celebrated the European Day of Languages on Thursday 26th September. We tried different foods from European countries and then filled in the results of the taste test on our charts. We had cheese from Austria, butter biscuits and croissants from France, salami from Italy and Serrano ham from Spain. It was a yummy lesson!

🧋 50p Friday: Milkshakes 🧋

We had a delicious treat this week thanks to the PTFA. We had yummy milkshakes! We had a choice of banana, chocolate or strawberry.

📖 Roald Dahl Day 📖

On Friday 13th September we celebrated Roald Dahl Day by completing four exciting stations.
🖍️ Colour Station- adding colour to famous quotes from Roald Dahl.
👨🏼‍🍳 Testing Station- Making delicious chocolate treats

🧱 Creation Station- building a new entrance to the Wonka Factory using construction materials.

🍬 Design Station- making new exciting sweet designs.
