P4/5 went on a great trip this week to Tollymore Forest Park in Newcastle. We have been learning about plants as part of our World Around Us topic this term. At Tollymore, we met up with Liz Farnan an Environmental Educator who taught us about the trees and plant life around us. Throughout the day we examined leaves, measured the ages of trees, and went on a nature walk along the river. We had a great day! Special thanks to Liz for teaching us all about the local plant life at Tollymore!
