β¨π The Feast of the Epiphany β¨π
Today, we celebrated ahead of the Feast of the Epiphany with a special assembly and fun art activities across the school. The Feast of the Epiphany was traditionally called Nollaig na mBan (Women’s Christmas) in Ireland, a time when women would take a well-earned break after the busy Christmas period. It is also celebrated across much of the Spanish-speaking world as Día de los Reyes Magos (Three Kings’ Day). On this important feast day, we recall the story of the Three Kings who followed the Star of Bethlehem, which led them to Jesus, bringing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Happy Three Kings’ Day to everyone in our school community and beyond! Downpatrick Parish
