Primary 6 and 7 were delighted to be joined by Marie from Sentinus this week, where they explored STEM approaches to renewable energy. In they workshop, they discovered the sun, wind and water as the three natural resources for renewable energy, as well as ways to harness this. The children then used a range of materials to create their own windmill, before working in teams to create their own solar-powered wind turbine!
 
It was a highly enjoyable and beneficial STEM learning opportunity for all involved. Many thanks to Marie from Sentinus for leading the sessions.
