Over the summer months, we were excited to have new murals designed and painted around the school building and grounds, as well as having new, vibrant thermoplastic playground markings installed in the main playground and around our new LSC3 & LSC4 building. Our beautiful murals were designed and painted by Anna Reynolds, a very talented local artist, who has worked with us in St. Colmcille’s over successive Summer Programmes.

Improvements include:

- Murals depicting Jesus in the Holy Land, remembering the Titanic, celebrating kindness and exploring world landmarks.
- New Futsal pitch and nets on new bitmap surface.
- Existing tennis, netball and football pitches redrawn.
- Large snakes and ladders playground game.
- Colourful movement game circuit.
- Phonics letter sound playground markings.
- Dedicated cycling proficiency circuit, including mini roundabout, zebra crossing and t-junction.

Our pupils were delighted to make the most of these new playground installations, when they returned to school!
