🎻🎸 Music Tuition 🎻🎸

Violin Tuition

Violin Tuition will begin in school on Wednesday 29th September for Key Stage 2 Classes (P5-7). The lessons are scheduled weekly (on a Wednesday) and are provided by a tutor from the Education Authority (EA) Music Service. This is an excellent opportunity for your child to explore and develop their musical talents.

The tuition fee for is £5 per lesson – this is a subsidised cost.

The cost to rent a violin from the Music Service is an additional £35, with the school subsiding this cost to £25 (payable Term 1)

There are limited places available- if you wish your child to participate in violin tuition this year, please inform your child’s class teacher via Seesaw before Friday 24th September. As there are limited places-  1st priority will be given to older year groups.

Guitar Tuition

Guitar Tuition will begin in school on Friday 1st October for Key Stage 1/2 Classes (P4-7). The lessons are scheduled weekly (on a Friday from 1pm-4pm) and are provided by a local Guitar Tutor Philip Hanna.

The tuition fee is £7.50 per lesson and children will be provided with a guitar (for in school practice). Phillip’s lessons are not subsidised by EA hence the higher cost. It is also likely that at some point parents will have to purchase a guitar recommended by Philip.

There are limited places available- if you wish your child to participate in Guitar Tuition this year, please inform your child’s class teacher via Seesaw before Friday 24th September. As there are limited places-  1st priority will be given to older year groups.

All tuition monies payable via Seesaw from Monday 27th September!

** In Term 2 there are a number of music workshops arranged for our P1-2 pupils. It was advised by the EA Music tutor that children are best suited to learn a musical instrument from P3 upwards.
