Several boys and girls from P6 and 7 attended the Jarlath Carey Memorial Tournament held at Dundrum GAC hosted by Sacred Heart P.S. Last year, we qualified for the Cup Final, and we travelled with great expectation again. The children have been working hard on their skills during practice in PE and were on fine display. They played competitive games against St. Michael's Finnis, St. Nicholas' Ardglass and the hosts, Sacred Heart P.S. Everyone played each other once and we then played Sacred Heart in the shield final. A close first half was contested between the two teams, but Sacred Heart eventually pulled away and won the shield. Thanks to Sacred Heart P.S for the invite and we look forward to next year's tournament again.
