Anti-Bullying Week 2024 took place this week and at St Colmcille’s we very much made the most of it!

The Anti-Bullying Alliance’s theme for Anti-Bullying Week 2024 was ‘Choose Respect’. We kicked off the week with Odd Socks Day on Tuesday 12th November, where adults and children wore odd socks to school. The pupils then completed fun and engaging tasks with their classes, including live lessons, drama, poetry and art! 

The week came to a fitting end when P6 and LSC3 welcomed their parents into school on Friday to share their excellent Anti Bullying assembly. The girls and boys did a wonderful job at sharing important messages with the school around bullying, including how to spot bullying behaviours and what to do if you or anyone else encounters bullying.

UNCRC Article 19 & 3- All children have the right to be protected from all harm and duty bearers must do what is in the best interests of children.
