Primary 5 recently attended Aunt Sandras Candy Factory in Belfast for a class trip to start a new topic - The Journey of Chocolate. The pupils had the opportunity to learn more about chocolate, the ingredients that are used to create it as well as the processes involved as well. We were then taken through the history of the shop and the story behind it. This led onto the pupils making a range of chocolate items such as skewers, a pizza and a person. The pupils had a very enjoyable time at Aunt Sandras, and it was a great start to our new topic.
