  • 🎉 Official Opening of New Playground 🎉

    Mon 07 Feb 2022

The official opening of our new and improved rear playground took place on Friday 4th February. Our Chair of Governors, Noreen Meehan and local MLA Colin McGrath SDLP were in attendance alongside Mr Mc Reynolds Head of Outdoor Education, Mr Austin School Principal, Libby our Equine Therapy Horse, Equine Therapy Programme Lead Nicci Hall and some of our fantastic P1 Pupils Ollie Holland, Alex Maclean, Anna McEvoy, Jessie McGreevy and Sophia Conn.

A special thanks to Colin for assisting school leadership in petitioning the statutory organisations for this much needed work to take place and in such a timely manner. As you can see this area has now been completely refurbished and futureproofed with a brand new rubber mulch and asphalt surface which provides a safer play environment for pupils to enjoy during their break & lunch times and for outdoor activity-based learning!
