Grandparent’s Day

Grandparents come in all shapes and sizes; you can have paternal grandparents, step-grandparents, and those grandparents that are not blood-related but hold a very special place in your heart. All of these grandparents have one thing in common, and this is the happiness that they experience knowing that they can support their grandchildren.

Grandparent’s Day is a day that is dedicated to celebrating and acknowledging the vital contribution that our grandparents make when it comes to the education and well-being of younger people within the family. This is the perfect day for us all to show our respect and gratitude for the older generating, honoring our grandparents – everything they do and everything that they stand for.

The children worked very hard to practise and put together their Christmas play ‘The Whoops A Daisy Angels’. We hope you enjoy! 🎅🏼🎄🎁👼🏻 Please find the web link below.

P3A have enjoyed the start of the Christmas festivities with their Christmas jumper and dinner day. They also enjoyed creating Christmas crafts with Miss Woodside during our art workshop. 🎁🎄🎅🏼

Parenting Week

This week in school we celebrated Parenting Week. This year's theme is 'The Positivity of Parenthood'. During the week P3A participated in a range of activities highlighting the positive impact parents and carers have on their children's lives by fostering love, support and growth. This year's theme emphasises the joy and fulfilment that comes with raising a child as well as celebrates the special bond between parents, carers and children.

European Languages Day!

To celebrate European Languages Day on the 26th September we tasted breads from different countries around Europe. We then coloured in flags to represent each of the places.

Roald Dahl Day

On Wednesday 13th of September we celebrated Roald Dahl Day. The children have been thoroughly enjoying our class novel ‘Charlie and the chocolate factory’ which has linked perfectly with our World Around Us topic ‘Our Senses.’ The children loved finding out information about Roald Dahl’s life on the C2K Newsdesk and learnt that through an injury he had temporarily lost his sense of sight. We took part in lots of fun Wonka themed activities on the day from creating weird and wonderful lollipops to sampling our own marshmallow sweet treat in the tasting room. Great job P3A! 🍭🍬🍫

Tuck Shop

We enjoyed going to the first tuck shop of the new school year. There were lots of delicious treats to choose from and we were excited to discuss the different options with our friends. Going to the tuck shop is a special treat but it also helps us learn how to use money within a real world context. We used our mental maths skills to calculate how many items we could buy with our money. We also calculated how much change we were due to receive once we had paid for all our items.
