In this session, they explored the importance and significance on the sacrament of Confirmation and choosing a name for their new mission. The boys and girls are looking forward to next week's session already!

Holy Week

Throughout this week, Primary 7 have been recalling the events of Holy Week, focusing on Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. We have done this through recalling, exploring a series of videos on the events and through some Holy Week art. We will explore the events after Easter Sunday, at the beginning of next term.

Grandparents' morning!

Wednesday 24th January

Many of our Primary 7s were delighted to welcome their grandparents to school this morning, for our annual Grandparent's celebration, as part of Catholic Schools Week. It was a great celebration of family and the important role grandparents play in shaping the lives of their grandchildren.

Creating hugs for our community!

Wednesday 24th January

As part of our Catholic Schools Week 2024 celebrations, our pupils have been exploring the importance of sharing love within our community.

To mark this, pupils used string at the length of their arm-span, as well as their own handprints, to create virtual hugs for their community. Their hand prints were decorated in the theme of their personality. It was an excellent way for the class to mark the love they share for their community!

Poetry for our grandparents- Catholic Schools Week 2024

Tuesday 23rd January

As part of our Catholic Schools' Week celebrations, our P7 class created beautiful poetry and prayers, themed on the celebration of grandparents and the important role they play in shaping our lives. These poems and prayers were then shared with their families. Well done P7 on a beautiful effort!

Laudato Si

Thursday 21st September

Primary 7 have sepnt the last couple of weeks exploring Pope Francis' encyclical to the world in 2015, titled Laudato Si. After learning about the contents of this letter, P7 then proceeded to create their own report on Microsoft Word, explaining how the letter calls for action to care for our planet.

The final reports were then printed and the added to our classroom display- to both highlight our learning, as well as signify the importance of God's call to care for 'Our common home'.
