๐ต๐ธ๐ St. Colmcilleโs PS Donates to the Gaza Humanitarian Aid Effort ๐ต๐ธ๐
Sat 30 Mar 2024The entire school community of St. Colmcille’s PS is proud to be supporting the humanitarian aid effort for the ongoing Gaza crisis. Mr Austin, Fr Toland and a number of our pupils were delighted to present a donation of £1000 to the UNICEF Gaza Crisis Appeal, which was collected over the past few weeks through generous donations from school staff and the school community. As Gaza faces famine and families continue to suffer the continuing effects of starvation, displacement and war, we hope that our donation will help assist UNICEF in their life-saving work there. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the people of Gaza, we continue to pray for an end to their suffering and peace for all.

๐ญ๐ Science Week Power Project Winners ๐ญ๐
Sat 30 Mar 2024Our pupils recently took part in a ‘Power Project’ competition as part of Science Week. In this project, they had the power to choose and complete a range of STEAM activities, relating to their ‘World Around Us’ topic. The effort that pupils put into their projects, throughout the school, was inspiring and showcased a huge amount of creativity and knowledge.
Congratulations to our Key Stage winners: Seth (P2B) who used stop-motion animation to create an excellent animated story of ‘Godzilla and the Three Pigs’, Jessie (P3B) who designed and created a space rocket for her topic of ‘The Solar System’ and Ethan (P5/6), who created a range of Viking themed props for the topic of ‘The Vikings’.
Our winners were presented with a certificate and Science prize by our STEAM coordinator, Mr McKernan. Thank you to Mr McKernan for organising the Power Project Competition, as well as a very successful Science Week 2024! Well done to all those who created such wonderful projects!
