  • โค๏ธ Chester's Challenge Workshop (Chest, Heart & Stroke) โค๏ธ

    Fri 14 Jan 2022

The children from P6 and P5/6 enjoyed a workshop from the NI Chest, Heart and Stroke Charity where they discussed all things healthy eating. The children were guided through the 'Eat Well Guide' and were informed about healthy and unhealthy foods and how they impact the body. The children were shocked to see how much sugar was in some of their favourite snacks. They were active participants throughout and enjoyed a competitive interactive quiz against one another. As part of the programme Mr. McKernan's P7 class were guided through the dangers of cigarettes and e-cigs. This was a valuable workshop and alerted the boys and girls to the dangers of smoking. Mr. Lyttle's class will be participating in the same workshop next week.

Next week's workshop will focus on Chester's Jungle Challenge designed to increase movement and activity which the children & staff are very much looking forward to!
