WALT find out information on local wildlife.

This week, Primary 7B became wildlife researchers as we explored some of the amazing animals that can be found right here in County Down. Using our laptops, we worked in pairs to research local wildlife, including red squirrels, otters, grey seals, Irish hares and peregrine falcons.

We learned how to find reliable information online and used our research skills to discover where these animals live, what they eat and how they are adapted to survive in their habitats. We then created informative PowerPoint presentations to share our findings with the class.

The children impressed everyone with their digital skills, creating well presented slides with images, facts and interesting information about their chosen animals. We also discussed the importance of protecting local wildlife and how we can help care for the natural environment in County Down.
