🎈🪼🦓 Exploring BJZWVXY with Paper Squares 🕸️🚐🪀

Our P2 children have been revisiting and deepening their understanding of the Jolly Phonics sounds b, j, z, w, v, x and y through fun, hands-on learning activities! 🧡

Using sound paper squares, the children explored how to blend sounds together to make both sensible and nonsense words. They enjoyed experimenting with different sounds, building their confidence in recognising letters and developing their early reading and spelling skills.

Some of the words we explored included bat and wat, encouraging the children to think carefully about the sounds they could hear and the words they could create. 📝🔠
