This week in Phonics, we have been learning about the ‘ng’ sound through lots of exciting activities. Some children looked at pictures containing ‘ng’ words and wrote them on LED writing pads, while others practised reading ‘ng’ words and drawing matching pictures. We enjoyed a fun fishing game where we used fishing rods to catch words containing the correct sound. Some children used sound cubes and word trays to build ‘ng’ and ‘ap’ words, while others developed their phonics skills through alphabet puzzles and sound jigsaws. Everyone worked hard to recognise, read and build words using our sound of the week! 🌟📖🔤
