As part of our World Around Us topic, Marvelous Me, we enjoyed exploring how we are all similar and different. We read a story on the interactive whiteboard about celebrating differences and discussed the things that make each of us unique, including our hair colour, eye colour, skin colour, favourite foods, hobbies, sports, and the languages we speak.

The children were excited to learn how to say hello in Spanish, French, and Irish, and Miss Smith was very impressed with their fantastic efforts!

Using the Just2Easy app on the interactive whiteboard, we created a pictogram showing the different eye colours in our class. Each child came to the board and selected their eye colour, helping us to see how alike and different we all are. We then had lots of fun playing a bingo game based on our similarities and differences.

It was a wonderful lesson that helped us celebrate what makes us special while learning that our differences make our classroom an interesting and exciting place to be! 🌟👀🌈🤝
