WALT: To identify and talk about different feelings and emotions.
In PDMU, we read The Colour Monster and explored lots of different feelings and emotions. We talked about times when we feel happy, sad, angry, calm, worried, and excited.
The children completed a feelings check-in by placing their names beside the Colour Monster that matched how they were feeling that day. They then enjoyed a range of practical activities, including making emotion faces with Play-Doh, sorting pictures of facial expressions into the correct emotion groups, and completing emotion face puzzles.
To finish, the children coloured their own Colour Monster to reflect how they were feeling, choosing different colours to represent their emotions.
It was a fun and engaging lesson that helped the children recognise, understand, and talk about their feelings while learning that all emotions are important. 🌈❤️😊
