WALT: Identify the features of a face

As part of our World Around Us topic, Marvellous Me, the children enjoyed exploring the theme 'My Face' through a variety of creative activities. Using the iPads, they drew self-portraits and carefully thought about the different features that make each of us unique.

The children used Play-Doh to model faces, creating eyes, noses, mouths, and hair, before taking their learning outdoors to make faces using natural autumn materials such as leaves, conkers, sticks, and pine cones. They also developed their fine motor and scissor skills by cutting and sticking facial features to create colourful college faces.

These engaging activities encourage the children to observe their own features, express their creativity, and develop important fine motor skills while learning more about themselves. We loved celebrating what makes each of us special as part of our Marvellous Me topic! 😊🍂✂️🎨📱
