WALT: Identify and name a range of colours in Irish by listening, speaking and responding during bingo.

As part of our European Languages Day celebrations, the pupils learned and practised the names of different colours in Irish. Using visual prompts and repetition, they developed their confidence in recognising and saying colour words such as dearg, gorm, glas and buí. The pupils then took part in an exciting game of Irish Colour Bingo, where they listened carefully to colour names called out in Irish and identified the matching colours on their bingo cards. Everyone enjoyed the challenge, and the activity helped to develop their listening skills, vocabulary recall and appreciation of different European languages!
