P3B took their phonics learning outdoors for some active word-building fun! We used our sound socks to build words and peg them on a line, carefully listening for each sound and then put our skills and speed to the test with sound disk races. The children had great fun racing to find the correct sounds and put them together to make a word. A fantastic way to practise our segmenting, blending and word-building skills while keeping active!
