✏️🚌WALT- Develop our pre-writing skills using different types of lines ✏️🚌
πβ¨ The Wheels on the Bus Go... Scribble, Scribble! βοΈπ
This week in P1, we had lots of fun developing our pre-writing skills through our “The Wheels on the Bus” theme! πΆπ
We took part in a range of exciting activities to help us practise making different types of lines. We carefully drew windows on our buses using straight horizontal and vertical lines, making sure all of our passengers could see out! πͺπ§π¦
We also used toy vehicles dipped in paint to create colourful tracks across the page. As we pushed the vehicles along, we watched them make different lines and patterns—vroom vroom! ππ¨
In our small world area, we worked together to build a busy town filled with buses, roads and passengers. We loved taking part in role play and pretending to travel on the bus. To board the bus, we had to make our own bus tickets by drawing lines and marks, helping us practise our writing skills in a fun and meaningful way. π«ππ
Through these playful activities, we have been strengthening our pencil control, developing our fine motor skills and becoming more confident with the pre-writing shapes that will help us on our writing journey. We had a fantastic time learning through play and are so proud of our hard work! ππβοΈπ
