🐊📚 Roald Dahl Day – What a Croc-tastic Time! 🐊📚

On 11th September, we celebrated Roald Dahl Day in P1 and had so much fun! Our focus story was The Enormous Crocodile, and we enjoyed lots of exciting activities throughout the day.

First, we listened to the story with Mrs Dagen and discovered just how cheeky the Enormous Crocodile was! Then, we took part in a carousel of activities linked to the story. We coloured pictures from the book, sequenced the story events, and made our own enormous paper-chain crocodiles. 🐊✂️

In our small world play area, we had the chance to retell the story and become the characters ourselves. We loved pretending to be the sneaky Enormous Crocodile and acting out the roles of the other animals from the story. This helped us to remember what happened and bring the story to life! 🎭📖

In numeracy, we helped the crocodile find the biggest animals in a group, and we even stretched, snapped and wriggled our way through Roald Dahl Day Cosmic Kids Yoga. 🧘‍♀️🐊

It was a fantastic day filled with stories, creativity, imagination, and lots of laughter. We loved celebrating one of Roald Dahl's famous stories and becoming part of the adventure ourselves! 🌟📚😊
