The children had a fantastic time exploring pre-writing shapes through our "The Wheels on the Bus" theme! 🎶🚌

We took part in a range of exciting activities to help us develop the skills needed for writing. The children used horizontal and vertical lines to draw windows on their buses, making sure all of the passengers could look out on their journey. 🚍😊

There was lots of excitement as we used toy vehicles dipped in paint to create tracks across the page, helping us practise different lines while having fun. 🎨🚗💨

In our small world area, the children created a busy town filled with buses and passengers. They worked together, taking turns to be the bus driver and the passenger, and practised drawing lines on their bus tickets before hopping aboard. 🎫🚌🤝

Through these engaging, play-based activities, the children developed their fine motor skills, strengthened their pencil control, and grew in confidence with the pre-writing shapes that form the foundation for future writing. We were so impressed with their enthusiasm and creativity! 🌟👏💛
