On 11th September, we celebrated Roald Dahl Day in P1 and had a whizzpopping time exploring the wonderful story of The BFG! 💛✨

First, Miss Smith brought the story to life by reading it to us using stick puppets 🎭📖. The children loved listening to the adventures of Sophie and the Big Friendly Giant and joining in with the storytelling.

We then stepped into the shoes of giants by making our own giant ears 👂🌟 and pretending to be giants ourselves! There were lots of giggles as we stomped around the classroom and imagined life in Giant Country. 🦶😄

The children also created their own colourful dream jars 🌈✨ using glitter, coloured water, and lots of imagination. Each jar was unique and sparkled just like the magical dreams collected by The BFG. 💭🫙⭐

It was a fantastic day filled with creativity, storytelling, imagination, and fun. We loved celebrating the magical world of Roald Dahl and letting our dreams soar! 📚💫🌈💛
