WALT: add two numbers
➕🦖🎲
In this Numeracy lesson, the children were learning to add two numbers through fun, practical activities.
In the first activity, the children used dinosaur counters to represent each number in the sum before counting the total altogether. This hands-on activity helped develop counting and early addition skills.
At the domino station, the children counted the dots on each domino and recorded the matching number sentence. This encouraged careful counting and number recognition.
For the final activity, the children rolled two dice, added the numbers together and then rubbed out the matching number on the tuff tray. The children loved the interactive element and showed great excitement while practising their addition skills.
