Facts and Opinions

We have begun our new writing genre: discursive writing. As part of this, it is important to understand the difference between facts and opinions. When reading a discursive text, we are learning to identify what information is factual and what reflects people’s opinions. This helps us to think carefully and form our own opinions about a given topic or debate.

Today, we worked in groups to sort facts from opinions, helping us to practise and deepen our understanding in a fun and collaborative way.
