Primary 5 have made a fantastic start to their new numeracy topic of time. This week, the children explored the many different features of an analogue clock, including the hour hand, minute hand and the numbers around the clock face. We have also begun learning how to tell and recognise o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to times. Pupils showed great enthusiasm as they practised reading and identifying different times before having the opportunity to create and display times of their own using class resources. It has been wonderful to see the children developing their confidence and understanding through practical, hands-on learning activities.
