The children practiced their spelling words this week by taking part in a fun playdough splat activity. As they sounded out each phoneme in a word, they splatted the playdough, helping them to break the words down into individual sounds. This hands-on approach supported the children’s phonics development, strengthened sound–letter recognition, and made spelling practice engaging and enjoyable.
