Today we had our very own Countdown‑style game show! We watched some clips from the original Countdown TV show and then tried our own problem‑solving challenges. Our focus was on trial and error, and this activity certainly required plenty of it! Pupils were given four numbers and had to create given target totals using addition, subtraction, or multiplication. Lots of thinking, testing, adjusting — and plenty of excitement along the way!
