WALT: name and recognise our emotions
This week, the children took part in a lesson focused on understanding and talking about emotions. We discussed different feelings such as happy, sad, angry, and excited, and talked about times when we might feel these emotions.
Through stories, discussion, and simple activities, the children were encouraged to recognise emotions in themselves and others, name how they are feeling, and listen to how their friends feel. This helped to develop emotional awareness, language skills, and empathy.
Learning about emotions supports children’s wellbeing and helps them build positive relationships and confidence in expressing themselves.
