WALT: explore similarities and differences
This week, the children have been learning about how we are the same and how we are different. We talked about what makes each of us special while also recognising things we have in common.
The children took part in a fun game of “Swap Places If…”, where they moved seats if they had blonde hair, blue eyes, a dog, or other similarities. This helped them notice shared features and interests in a playful way.
We also read stories about differences, which encouraged discussion about kindness, respect, and celebrating individuality. Through these activities, the children developed confidence, listening skills, and an understanding that differences should be valued.
